Thor

COURAGE IS IMMORTAL
A couple weeks ago me and my sisters went to go see Thor. It's a hilarious story, actually. When we first saw the poster for Thor, I, for one, figured we wouldn't be seeing it. Mainly because of the "gods" theme. Thor is the god of thunder, and as a Christian, the only god there is is God himself.
While the poster looked incredibly intriguing and cool, I exed it out of my mind. We wouldn't be seeing it. That was my thought about it for a while... Until Tory said she wanted to see a movie. But which one to see? I wondered this, because as far as I knew there wasn't anything good out. We'd already seen the "good ones". :)
   "Thor." she said.
I was surprised, but she proceeded to tell me that Plugged-In had a good review for it. I looked it up, and found my opinion of it sky rocketing.
So that's the movie we saw.

My Opinion

It was a very good movie, beginning with action and ending with action. The action itself was really well done and amazingly epic. The battle scene in the beginning was AWESOME! I was biting my nails the entire time. Literally.
I loved how Thor regained his honor. It wasn't lame, it wasn't predictable. It was perfect. As a writer, I appreciate original plots. :)

Sif, the goddess of war

I loved all the characters. Darcy, Sif, Erik, Fandral, ect. Jane (Natalie Portman) was funny with her "Do me a favor and not be dead" line. However, she wasn't exactly a solid character. She wasn't "written" enough.
Thor himself was HILARIOUS. I loved him a ton, and Chris Hemsworth (Star Trek) did an amazing acting job.

"This drink... I like it! More!"

Jane: What happened?
Thor: He's fine! We drank, we fought- he did his ancestors proud!

The romance, I thought, was very sweet. I really liked it, and Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth just look really cute together, too. ;)

Thor: Do you see her?
Heimhall: Yes.
Thor: How is she?
Heimhall: She's searching for you.

One word about Heimhall: one of THE BEST characters in Thor. He's totally awesome.

NEGATIVE

There really isn't anything negative about Thor, other than the whole "gods" thing, but even that didn't go into deep detail. I was surprised. If anyone has seen the movie "Tron", I'll say that the gods thing in that movie was worse than in Thor. Just my opinion, though. :)

Jane and Thor kiss at the end. Shocker, I know. Thor goes shirtless once, showing his super buff frame.

There's little language in this movie. But nothing terrible. I was pleasantly surprised.

That's all the negativeness I have to say about the movie.

CONCLUSION

Heimhall

All in all, this was a very awesome movie. I enjoyed it a ton. And who knew I'd see it in theaters, either? Funny how things work out, huh? :)

STARS: 5 out of 5

SYNOPSES
Thor begins as a rebellious "god". He's the heir to the throne of Asgarth. As a hot headed, reactionary Thor gets himself banished to Earth. I won't tell you how, or why, but he does. And to make matters worse, he doesn't have his immortal powers. He's a Mortal forever. Unless he can find the humility and honor he lacks.

Odin: Whoever wields this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.
